INTRODUCE

Aeration is a means of bringing air and water into strong contact, with the purpose of dissolving oxygen in the air into water or expelling unwanted gases and volatile substances in water into the air. In other words, it is a means of promoting the exchange of substances between gas and liquid. It also has some other important functions, such as mixing and stirring.
Oxygen in the air is transferred to water through aeration, and oxygen is transferred from the gas phase to the liquid phase by mass transfer. The theory of mass transfer diffusion is currently widely used in the double membrane theory proposed by Lewis and Whitman.
